Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 August 2026

These terms govern your use of WaitingRoom (https://waitingroom.work). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

  • [Your full legal name or company name]
  • [Your registered address, Belgium]
  • Company number: [KBO/BCE company number]
  • Email: info@waitingroom.work

2. The service

WaitingRoom is a personal job-hunt organizer: it lets you save job listings, track applications and interviews, keep notes and upload related documents. The service is currently offered free of charge. We may add paid features in the future; if we do, pricing and conditions will be communicated clearly before you are ever charged.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use WaitingRoom. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your email account (which is used to sign in) secure. One account per person.

4. Your content

Everything you enter or upload (listings, notes, documents) remains yours. You grant us only the technical permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you — nothing more. We never use your content for advertising and never share it with third parties except the processors listed in our Privacy Policy.

You may not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or contains malware. We may remove such content and suspend accounts that violate this rule.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to access other users’ data or probe the security of the service;
  • use the service to send spam or automate abusive traffic;
  • resell or misrepresent the service as your own.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, but we provide the service “as is”, without a guaranteed uptime. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data first.

7. Termination and deletion

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger → Delete account, which permanently erases your account and all associated data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, normally after a warning.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Belgian law, our liability is limited to damage caused by our own intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights that Belgian consumer law grants you as a consumer, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. We recommend keeping your own copies of important documents you upload.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will notify you by email or through the app before they take effect. If you continue using the service after that date, the new terms apply; if you disagree, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Belgium; if you are a consumer, mandatory venue rules in your favour remain unaffected. Consumers can also contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst, consumentenombudsdienst.be) for out-of-court dispute resolution.
