Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

WaitingRoom only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to make the service work. We do not use advertising or other non-essential cookies. Our public marketing pages use anonymous, cookieless analytics to understand traffic — see below.

1. Cookies we use

  • Authentication cookies (names starting with sb-, set by our authentication provider Supabase) — keep you signed in securely after you log in. They are first-party cookies, contain your session tokens, and expire or are removed when your session ends or you log out.

We also store interface preferences, including dismissal of the extension promotion, in your browser’s local storage. The dismissal expires after six months and this data never leaves your device.

2. Anonymous marketing analytics

Our public marketing pages (not the signed-in app) use PostHog to count page views and understand traffic. This does not set cookies or use browser storage — each page load gets a fresh, anonymous identifier, so no data ties your visits together or identifies you. Because no cookies are involved, no consent banner is required.

3. Cookies we do not use

We use no advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.

5. Questions
